Embedded Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
Embedded based DVR are simpler than PC based DVR system.  Their simplicity and lower power consumption allowed them to run 24 hrs continuously non-stop with greater life time and stability.

They are suitable for less demanding application for operator with limited PC knowledge.  Their operation are very similar to a VCR "Play, Stop, Record, Fast Forward, Rewind and etc...).  All video is recorded into HDD for easy archive.
